Mental Health YXE started as my Instagram page in June 2017 and slowly grew into a whole community for people who are tired of stigma and ready for honest conversations about mental health. I’m a Lived-Experience Mental Health Advocate, and this site is a hub where I gather the things I do to help: resources, articles, speaking & booking info, personal blogs and a few odds-and-ends.

Over the years I’ve written lots of articles, taken part in media interviews, coordinated community projects, and spoken to audiences across Saskatchewan (and beyond) about recovery and reducing stigma. My work has been featured on CBC Radio, CTV News, Global News, Shaw Spotlight, Rogers TV, podcasts, newspapers and more. These days I continue this work through public speaking, lived-experience consultation, community initiatives, and content that nudges people toward conversations about mental health.

If you want to work together, I’d love to hear from you! I’m available to be hired for for speaking, consulting, or media opportunities! One project I’m especially proud of is the annual Holiday Gift Drive for the Dubé Centre for Mental Health, which brings our community together to provide thoughtful gifts for people spending the holidays in hospital.

When I’m not doing advocacy stuff, you’ll often find me vending at pop-up markets, where I sell my quirky stickers, buttons, resin art, and various trinkets. Visit my Instagram to learn where I’ll be vending next! I also enjoy photography, Star Wars, Care Bears, peanut butter, naps, and making memes.
