Mental Health YXE began as an Instagram page I created in June 2017.  This Instagram serves as my main focal point, where I work to normalize mental illness, reduce stigma, and encourage folks to realize that they are not the only ones with their particular experience. I consider myself to be a Mental Health Advocate.

I write articles for The Mighty and am a guest writer for the CPTSD Foundation. You can also find me on Insight Timer where I make meditation recordings. I am a public speaker. I regularly do this through the Saskatoon Schizophrenia Society, which takes place at schools, post secondaries, community organizations, and more. I also do private speaking. I organize a variety of other projects throughout the year, including a Holiday Gift Drive for the Dubé Centre for Mental Health. I have been interviewed by CBC Radio, CTV News, Global News, Shaw Spotlight, and Project Voice. I’ve appeared in newspapers, web articles & interviews, podcasts and more! I am enthusiastic about public speaking and would love to speak at your event or organization! I am also a lived experience consultant. Please get in touch with me if you’d like to book a private presentation or to discuss a consultation.

You can read a bit more about my story in the FAQs.

I enjoy photography, Star Wars, peanut butter, and naps. I’m a maker of memes.
